A new electoral alliance called “Nouvelle Union Populaire Ecologique et Sociale”, or NUPES, combines La France Insoumise, the Socialist Party, EELV (Green party), and the Communist Party under the aegis of La France Insoumise and its leader Jean-Luc Mélenchon.
